This absence is longer than I expected and it is hard not to be able to do what you love to do. The team at the Schott is trying hard to use this time to better the systems, procedures and policies to optimize all of our time and effort when we return to business. We will need to adapt the way we work for the post lockdown world. While we are away, Emily and I are working on cleaning up paperwork, revising tech packets and getting lists of preventive or annual maintenance projects that we can jump back into once the “stay home” order is lifted. This is not the spring and summer we expected or wanted, but we are going to try to make the best of it. Part of our time away will be working on getting the new payroll system up and running.
